Thanksgiving is almost here and we have a project that everyone can be involved in.
Norris and Faye Horton have dedicated themselves to provide Thanksgiving dinners for 30 families. Our part will be to involve ourselves in our communities and locate these families (the elderly and or single-parent families preferably).
THIS IS STRICTLY FOR COMMUNITY OUTREACH, NOT OUR OWN CLCC FAMILY. You may know people in North Richland Hills or the area in which you live or you may investigate some other possibilities such as apartment complexes or schools (just as suggestions) to inquire of persons that may fit the need.
When you find someone, IT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO DO TWO OTHER THINGS:
Provide the name(s) and the number of family members to the Hortons NO LATER THAN SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2014
Be available on Thanksgiving morning, November 27, 2014 between 9:00-11:00 AM to pick up the dinner from the Hortons (most likely at CLCC) and deliver it to the person(s) that you have contacted in your outreach.
THIS IS ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS, so it will be important that we get on this quickly and communicate our contacts to the Hortons as much in advance of November 23 as possible.
