Expect To Win
“And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: that ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6:11, 12
As those who are in Christ, winning is in our genes – it is hereditary. However, to walk victory out in an everyday, living and vital way, there are things that we have to put to work. We must be diligent. We must determine to incorporate the Word of God and an “active” prayer life every day. We must walk in faith trusting God, declaring the Word from our mouths and acting in accordance with the Word of God. We must also walk in patience. We must practice being like the picture that we see of Jesus in Hebrews 13:8. We must learn to be steadfast, constant and in agreement with the Word of God at all times. It takes lots of practice, asking and receiving forgiveness and repentance, but it is worth it to stay at it. You will at some point begin to see the change in you and this particular God-like characteristic develop in you. You will deal with every situation in life the same way that God Himself does. With this working in you, you can expect to win all the time!
