“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My Name, He may give it you. John 15:16
Every now and then it is good for us to remind ourselves of the fact that we are chosen by Jesus. We did not initiate anything having to do with redemption or having a relationship with the Lord. We may have responded to His call, but long before we were ever thought of, He had set His plan in motion. We were chosen in Christ; the Holy Spirit drew us, convicted us and imparted life to us. Then Jesus ordained us to go and bring forth fruit that would never die. Keeping these things in mind will give the grace and goodness of God space to overwhelm you and you will receive glimpses of just how much you are loved by the Father.
