“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16
I have seen that it has been quite easy for the body of the Lord Jesus Christ, as a whole, to overlook the importance of worship and praise expressed through the vehicles of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. This Scripture reveals to us that singing to the Lord can serve as a means of our being able to both encourage and teach one another. Wow! I believe that we should pray and believe the Father to reveal this type of ministry to the church. Even for those who have a respect for worship and praise and the part that it can play in our fellowships, we still need a corporate revelation of the fact that our singing to the Lord, with others being able to hear our singing with “grace in our hearts to the Lord”, can serve as means of encouraging and teaching the saints. Let’s believe God!
