NOVEMBER 6: Keep Hope Alive

“Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit Who was given to us.” Romans 5:5 NKJV

Have you ever wondered why real Bible hope can’t disappoint you? The answer is simple: because God loves us and He has poured out His love in our hearts by means of the Holy Spirit. Hope, from the perspective of the Word of God, is a joyful, confident expectation of something that God has promised. Of course, the things the Father has promised are found in the Bible. Since God cannot lie, there is no reason for us to doubt what He has spoken. Therefore, since He said it, we are to rejoice about His promises, looking forward to their manifestation in our lives with the same kind of expectation that a child has about receiving something that he or she has asked their parents for as a present for Christmas. Now, here is the icing on the cake: God demonstrates His love for us through what He did for us through Christ Jesus. On top of the fact that He cannot lie, He has assured us of every good thing through the love He has shown us by Jesus Christ. This is the love that He poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. It’s time for us to believe and receive with joyful, confident expectation everything that is already ours in Christ Jesus. KEEP HOPE ALIVE!
