We Need Each Other

“From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” Ephesians 4:16

The Father has structured the plan for the “Body of Christ” in such a way that we are interdependent members. That means, that by design, just like the physical body, there is not one part that cannot do without the other and that the entire body is affected by the performance of every member. That should encourage us to be diligent about finding our place in the body and making sure that we don’t let each other down. It should also encourage us to love each other with the love that God has put inside of us. Each member expressing this love is the way in which the body will grow and function at its best. Jesus taught us that this love is based on unselfish serving and giving. When each member does his or her share in this, the body builds itself up and everyone benefits. Make it your aim to allow the Holy Spirit to help to see the “big picture.” Become body of Christ minded. We need each other.
