Strongholds

“(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

THE ENEMY IS AFTER YOUR THOUGHT LIFE! However, he needs your cooperation. He cannot control your thoughts and meditations unless you allow him to. Negative strongholds are built up in our minds over a period of time by allowing ungodly thought processes to consume our meditations. The pictures become clear and then we find ourselves in a position to act on them if we are given the opportunity. These thoughts have to be dismissed from our thinking at the onset, so that over the course of time, through constant meditation, they will not be able to become strongholds for the enemy. On the other hand, we need to realize that we can build strongholds for the Lord in our minds by constantly meditating and feeding on the thoughts of God – His Word. The Word of God can become so strong in our thinking that the enemy will not be able to penetrate our imaginations and we will become “doers of the Word.” It is a challenge, but we can meet it. The weapons that the Father has given us are far superior to those that satan is dealing with. By the Word and power of God we can demolish any negative stronghold that has been built up in our minds and then build some strongholds for the Lord.
