NOVEMBER 21

Find Your Place

“For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us…” Romans 12:4-6

There needs to be more importance stressed upon the fact that every member of the body of Christ has a role to play. God has gifted every one of us to fit into His plan for the body of Christ. That is easy for us to see when it comes to those who are a part of what we call the five-fold ministry. We expect them to pray and to find out where they are supposed to fit in the body. However, the Scriptures teach us that we are all supposed to find our place, not just the “preachers.” As a matter of fact, it should be so important to every member of the body of Christ to find their place, that they will approach finding out their gifting and calling in the same way that someone who is called to equip the body of Christ as an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor or teacher would do. Pray and seek the Lord to find out where you fit in the body. Yes, it will take some dedication, and yes, maybe even some prayer and some fasting, but you must do it. Every one of us is important to the plan of God.
