NOVEMBER 11: Let This Mind Be In You

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” Philippians 2:5-8

Notice this Scripture tells us that we are to let this type of thinking be active in us. And what kind of thinking is that? It is the attitude and mindset of humility, servant hood and obedience. Jesus set us the example, now we are to follow in His steps and “let” this mind function in us. Notice, this kind of thinking is resident in us because Jesus is inside of us, but we have to let it be active. My brothers and sisters, if Jesus, God manifested in the flesh, humbled Himself in servant hood and obedience to the Father’s will, it should be no problem for us to do the same. Determine today that you will allow the Word of God and the Holy Spirit to teach you how to walk as Jesus walked. You won’t have to be concerned with exalting yourself; God will do that for you!
