Pure Religion

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” James 1:27

If we are not watchful, there is the possibility that we can become so engrossed in our believing God for our own needs that we forget the needs of others. The priority of our Christian living is to please God by being as He is. When we meet the needs of the fatherless and the widows and live in holiness and purity before the Lord, we are living well pleasing to Him.
