Don’t Be Weighed Down With The Burden
“Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden in light.” Matthew 11:28-30
There is no reason for any of us to be weighed down by the burdens of life. Jesus, first of all, has given us an invitation to come to Him if we are weary and heavy laden. He promises to give us rest, not increase the weight of our load. He then tells us that His yoke is easy and His burden in light. If we will allow Him to, Jesus will help with any burden or load that we have. And He promises to give us rest for our souls. If you are mentally worn out from the pressures and loads you have been carrying, take Jesus at His word right now. Put the weight of those things over on Him.
