Sin Shall Not Dominate You

“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace.” Romans 6:14

This Scripture comes as a real revelation to many of us: sin shall not dominate a Believer. God’s plan of redemption for us did not make any provision for sin to control us. However, we must learn things about our redemption such as being one-spirit with the Lord, understanding the ministry of the Holy Spirit within us, the power that comes from the abiding Word, who we are in Christ and the fact that we have been redeemed from the curse, just to name a few. As a Christian, the resurrection power of God Almighty resides in you. It is the same power that raised Christ from the dead. If that power raised Christ from the dead (and it did), then it certainly can be used to keep sin from having dominion over us in this life.

Scripture reading: Romans 6:1-23
