Trust and Obey
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”
Proverbs 3:5, 6
Trust? Obey? Two concepts that we, from a natural standpoint, rebel against. These principles require us to submit ourselves and our will to someone else, and in this instance, it is the Lord that we must submit to. We must realize that our Father is attempting to put us in position to receive the best that He has for us in every area of life when He asks us to trust and obey Him. Lack of trust in Him and disobedience to His Word hinders our ability to receive. Spend some time with the Scriptures below and search some out on your own. Revolve them around in your mind. It may be difficult for you to trust and obey any one other than yourself. Realize this fact: the Father will never hurt or harm you. He loves you and desires the best for you. Give Him the opportunity to show Himself faithful. HE WILL NEVER FAIL YOU!
