Lack Is Not An Option

“The Lord is my Shepard; I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1

Many times because of our past or just the way that our natural minds can be, we may think that it is alright to not have the things that we need. If we look at it from the Lord’s perspective, that just won’t do. The God we serve has always identified Himself as the God Who is more than enough and the One Who desires that every need of His creation be met. Philippians 4:19 tells us that He will meet every need that we have “according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Our verse from Psalm 23:1 tells us of the kind of Shepherd that He is. We are not to lack for anything. We must adjust our thinking, trust God to meet our every need…and not settle for doing without the things we need. We must bring that Word before our Father, in the Name of Jesus. In prayer and worship we remind Him of His faithfulness and in the face of satan and lack, we enforce that Word with our confession and the actions of our lives. Never, never settle for not having enough.
