DECEMBER 24: Don’t Even Be Moved

“But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.” Acts 20:24

“None of these things move me.” What a testimony! As a matter of fact, it is the testimony that the Father wants every one of His children to have. He desires that our lives be so vitally in union with Him that no matter what happens, yes that’s right, no matter what happens in this natural realm, none of those things can cause us to be shaken or lose our focus on eternal things. Our fellowship with the Father based on the finished work of Christ is the key to this kind of life and testimony. When a life is wrapped up in the Father in this manner, eternal things become more real than anything in the natural realm. As a result, one finds out his or her God-given purpose for living and how to walk in that purpose and finish it with joy. When a man or woman in Christ makes this kind of living connection with the Father, there is absolutely nothing that satan can do with that Believer. You see my brothers and sisters satan does all that he can to manipulate the circumstances in this natural realm. It is his “trump card.” Whenever he wants to throw a Christian off course, he begins to stir up natural physical disturbances. It is a key to his operation against you, because he knows in most cases, Believer’s are going to be moved by the things that affect their senses. So, if you can ever arrive at that point in your fellowship with the Father that the things of the kingdom mean more to you than the things of this natural realm, satan will have no means of being able to manipulate you. It may not seem easy or even logical to most people to pursue this, but it is God’s challenge to us.
