Who Will You Serve?

“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15

The word for “serve” here in the Hebrew is a word that carries the meanings of ‘being a bond slave to’ and ‘being a worshipper of someone.’ Joshua made the decision for he and his household that they would be enslaved to no one but the Lord, neither would they bow down to any one but Him. What kind of decision have you made?
